The GEMEIA Long-Haul Drivers' Academy offers Category D bus driver training in Jelgava. The training is suitable for those who want to work in the passenger transport sector - in public transport, tourist transport or on international routes.

Requirements for obtaining Category D
- minimum age - 24 years
- a valid Category B driver's licence
- a medical certificate of health status (appropriate for Category D)
- a first-aid certificate (if required)
Training bus - Solaris Urbino
Learn with a bus that meets CSDD exam requirements.
Training takes place with a Solaris Urbino bus with an automatic gearbox. You can also take the CSDD driving exam with the same bus - this helps the student feel more confident on exam day, as the vehicle is already familiar.
Theory
During Category D training, the student prepares for the CSDD theory exam and gains the knowledge needed for safe and responsible bus driving.
CSDD theory exam:
- 35 questions;
- exam duration - 30 minutes;
- no more than 3 mistakes allowed.
Driving
In practical driving lessons, the student learns to drive a bus in real traffic conditions, safe manoeuvring, performing stops, and preparing for the CSDD driving exam.
During the training, attention is paid to:
- safe bus driving in the city and outside the city;
- manoeuvring a large vehicle;
- correct positioning on the road;
- vehicle control in various traffic situations;
- preparation for the CSDD driving exam.
CSDD driving exam
- At least 45 minutes
When taking the CSDD driving exam together with code 95:
- At least 90 minutes
